Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
It’s that time of year when we celebrate SMA and all of its traditions as a Catholic School. We have a fun week ahead of us! Thank you to all of you for helping to make it all happen.
Just a reminder, this Wednesday the Fifth Grade will be hosting their annual State Fair. It will be held in the Parish Hall beginning at 8:30 and will last until about 10:00. Parents, you are also welcome to see and hear all about our fabulous fifty states (in our case, 21). Please also remember, the students are able to bring a SMALL sampling of food that is common for their state. I hope to see you there!
Here is this week’s Curriculum Update. It will be a little lighter this week as I am not giving any tests. With all of the Catholic Schools’ Week festivities, I know you are all busy making preparations.
Curriculum Update for the Week of February 1, 2016:
Religion: Begin chapter 12: Jesus teaches us to pray; the Liturgy of the Hours; Sunday and Holy Days; Sacramentals
Reading: Continue to read and discuss Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets; Continue to look for figurative language and begin to work on character analysis
